For contractors who already own and depend on their US Hammer equipment, this offers another option: keep the hammer you already have while upgrading how you power it.
Let me explain how the program works, why we offer it, and how to determine whether converting your existing hammer makes sense for you.
Gas-powered equipment has earned its place on jobsites for a reason. It’s proven, powerful, and provides the ability to keep working as long as you have fuel available.

There are several reasons.

For crews already carrying multiple pieces of equipment, simplifying what needs to go into the truck or trailer every morning can be a meaningful convenience.
One of the biggest advantages of professional battery equipment is simplicity.
There’s no gas engine to start before getting to work. A charged battery gives crews a straightforward way to get the machine operating and move on to the job.
That can be particularly valuable for contractors who make multiple stops during the day.
Gas engines require maintenance.
Battery-powered equipment eliminates many of the engine-related maintenance items associated with gasoline-powered machines.
For contractors, less time spent dealing with routine engine maintenance means more time available for productive work.
Battery-powered equipment also eliminates the sound of a gasoline engine running.
The hammer itself is still performing impact work, so appropriate hearing protection remains important, but eliminating engine noise can make battery equipment attractive for residential properties, municipalities, vineyards, campuses, and other noise-sensitive environments.
This conversion won’t necessarily be the right decision for every US Hammer owner.
That’s okay.
Gas-powered and battery-powered equipment each have advantages.
But there are several types of customers who should seriously consider the upgrade.
If your fleet is increasingly moving toward batteries and you’re trying to reduce the amount of gasoline-powered equipment you maintain, converting your US Hammer may fit naturally into that strategy.
Contractors who unload, work, reload, and move several times during the day may particularly appreciate the simplicity of battery operation.
Residential neighborhoods, vineyards, municipal properties, campuses, and similar environments can make battery-powered equipment especially attractive.
This may be the most important group.
If you’re happy with your US Hammer but want the advantages of battery power, conversion gives you another choice besides replacing your existing machine.
This is a question worth considering.

There’s no universal answer.
